For a potential cover image to be considered it must meet our criteria for a large high quality image and of course be a great shot! This size which is ideal and most flexible for (our) potential uses including cover art, is as follows:

Preferred

33.3×41.6 inches at 72ppi, this gives IAM magazine the range to achieve a high quality digital image (300ppi) at 8×10 inches for printed material. This size of 33.3×41.6 inches at 72 ppi is equal to 2400×3000 pixels at 72 ppi.

Acceptable

Digital camera format to be considered for cover art or large image placement in the magazine is as follows:

22×27.5 at 72 ppi or equal to 1600×2000 pixel at 72 ppi anything above this of course is preferred. This above quality will give (us) an acceptable quality of 8×10 inches at 200ppi.
